Remove windshield trim 1992 ranger

What's going on with the trim piece at 8:28? I think maybe a fix to that before the weather stripping would be in order!

What do you do when the channel is smaller at the opening then opens up wider at the bottom?

Do you need the urethane?

Is the process the same for the rear window?

After spending two days trying to get mine in on a '93 and being unsuccessful, Safelite will be here in a few hours to install mine. Total PIA. 🙄

What sealant type did you use for windshield groove?

I was looking to purchase a similar tool from the rubber supplier - instead of stamped flat metal, theirs is bent wire, which would run more smoothly. But I see how to use it. Maybe they come with instructions but a video is a better instruction. Thanx

Ok I made the mistake of opening the vent window during install. I got it installed but the vent glass doesn’t seat down in the rubber now. Is there a way to fix this? The lip is tucked in in places.

This kit will actually fit 80-93

Is there a trick to get the last clip on the curved end to clip into place?? Maybe bending slightly? the Fairchild beltline doesnt line up perfectly

My '72 W200 door DID NOT have the holes for the clips on the upper/rear glass run. Had to remove both of the metal fasteners to get it to fit. Wound up trimming 1/2" off the wing window side, due to there being excess material. The upper/rear run is by far the worst part of this. I had to remove the door handle bar to the latch, and remove the window from the regulator track in order to have enough room to wedge the new run into the channel. I also lubricated it with Sprayway glass cleaner...really helped to seat it.

Y'all made it look to easy and mess free.
